Special Events in the School of Physics

Since its inception, the School of Physics has been engaged in a number of public activities. These are directed to the public, teachers, and school students interested in physics.

The July Lectures in Physics for 2005

The School of Physics Colloquia are a major meeting ground for all physicists, physics graduate students and other scientists in Victoria. Speakers range from physicists, other scientists, technologists, to others of interest to physicists. They are held every Wednesday at 11 am.

The MUPPETS program for taking exciting Physics shows into primary and secondary schools.
   

Research groups within the School of Physics periodically hold public seminars. The seminars are hosted by well regarded physicists and cover a wide variety of physics topics. Click on the links below for information on the latest of these seminars.

The School of Physics, together with Faculty of Engineering and several public and private schools, organises monthly advancement and enrichment evenings for keen secondary school physics students. An "In-Service Day" for teachers, consisting of 5 sessions of interest to the teaching of VCE Physics. One full day. Click here for more information.
