The Photonuclear
Group's expertise in high-energy physics and imaging has lead to the formation
of the Physics Solutions to Industry group (PSI Labs), which has had a
number of highly successful consultations to industry.

PSI was consulted
by Australian Paper Mills/Paperlinx on issues of damage to paper during
transit and storage, and has an ongoing commitment to provide solutions
to issues of real-time quality control and logistics. |

||||
|
The photonuclear
team is in the process of developing a quality control system to assess
the integrity of watermark in security papers during manufacture, with
a view to extending this technology into other areas of quality control
in paper manufacture.
