I'm currently in the second year of my PhD with the Photonuclear Group, and am in my second year. My PhD research revolves around and extremely accurate measurement of the half life of 26mAl, in fact I'm aiming to achieve an accuracy of at least 0.01%. An extremely accurate measurement of such a quantity is relevant to the Standard Model of Particle Physics and to nucleosynthesis in Astrophysics. |
