I'm a PhD student in the Experimental Particle Physics (EPP) Group at the School of Physics at Melbourne University. My supervisor is Geoff Taylor, and I am working on the ATLAS Experiment (Collaboration Site, Public Site). ATLAS (A Toroidal Large hadron collider ApparatuS) is located at CERN on the Swiss-French border. ATLAS will begin running in 2007. I'll be finished by this time so my work is helping build the detector components and simulating the conditions and physics we are expecting to see. I'm studying lepton flavour violating decays. For more info see ::my research::. For 2004 I'm an elected member of UMPA Council and Executive. I'm also a postgraduate representative on a number of university committees: TALQAC (Teaching and Learning Quality Assurance Committee) and RAGS (Research and Graduate Studies Committee). |
