Some Presentations of Martin Sevior on Energy Issues

The first presentation listed below was made in 2006 and provides an overview of the energy challenges facing us to 2050. It talks about all the major sources, Coal, Oil, Gas, Hydro, Wind, Solar and Nuclear.

The following presentation is a very detailed look at Nuclear Power and all the issues around it.

The following is my most recent presentation on Nuclear with a particular emphasis on specific technologies.

Unfortunately all these are out of date. The costs of Nuclear will likely be rather higher than the estimates in the presentations. In addition over the past few years there have been really substantial increases in natural gas reserves, particularly what is called "unconventional natural gas".

I'm now of the view that we will have to stop using Natural Gas because of it's CO2 emissions before we're close to running out of it.
