Dilor Confocal Raman Spectrometer

The Dilor Confocal Raman Spectrometer includes a DILOR XY Modular Laser Raman Spectrometer equipped with an
Olympus optical microscope. The spectra is collected with a nitrogen-cooled multichannel CCD camera. The exciting source is the 514.5 nm line of a Coherent Innova Model 70 Ar+ laser.

An IR beam from a Spectra-Physics Nd:Yag laser is also available. There is a motorised XY-stage for high spatial resolution measurements with a minimum step width of 100nm. For spectroscopic studies at temperatures between -196°C and 600°C we use a LINKAM THMS600
heating/cooling stage together with a TMS92 temperature programmer and the LNP2 cooling
system.

Applications:

- characterisation of materials, especially diamond and other semiconductors
- laser tweezing
- generation of single photons in diamond
